Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to share with you all the full list of winners of this years prizes and awards from the Ottoman and Turkish Studies Association. These winners were announced at our conference last month, but we have now updated our website with full information and citations at the link below.
Please join me in congratulating all of our winners, this year's competition was particularly robust and an excellent reflection of the vitality and creativity within our field. I would also like to thank everyone who served on a prize committee this year, this volunteer labor is critical to the success of our mission and deserves thanks on behalf of the entire organization.
I would also like to remind everyone that we are still running our annual board elections. You must be a paid member in good standing to cast a vote. You may pay your membership dues or check your status at this page. If you have any questions about your status please feel free to respond to us directly. You can also read the candidate bios and statements here.
We are also planning to hold a virtual members meeting on November 18th from 12-2PM EST. Details for registration will be emailed to paid members shortly. Please renew your membership as soon as possible so you do not miss out on the members meeting, where our prize and election winners will be celebrated and you will receive updates from the board on our progress!
Sincerely,
James Ryan
Executive Director
